I've always wanted a pair of these and I'm glad I've finally taken the plunge. They are well made, stylish (in a retro way) and comfortable. However, be aware that the sole is not very thick so your feet can get really cold if temperatures are low. I wouldn't hold out much hope for water tightness in the wet either. Long term wear and tear could also be an issue. The unisex version has a thicker sole which may overcome these problems.
